I am Prakashan
I am a 38-year-old man, a native of Kanhangad (at the northern tip of Kerala). When I was sixteen, I fell into a well on which I was working. The accident left me with broken legs as well as spinal damage. I underwent all kinds of treatment but it was six long years before I managed to start limping around with the help of a staff. However I soon developed pressure ulcers extending deep into the soles of both feet upto the bone. Both feet had to be treated surgically.
My family was fed up with looking after me for so many years, and so I left home. My feet were so badly infected by now that several doctors advised me to have them amputated. Homeless and dependent on the kindness of others for even the scanty food which kept me alive, I lived in destitution for several years. It was then that I met brother Mohan Nair. Like a real elder brother, he brought me into Karunya Bhavan, arranged for proper and painstaking treatment of my hopeless sores, and tended to me. He guided me to the living God and let me experience and see the love of God through the brothers at Karunya Bhavan. This led me to receive the Lord Jesus as my Saviour; I was saved and baptized, and received a wonderful new life in place of the life I thought I had lost. Karunya Bhavan arranged my marriage as well. Our family is now living in the joy of trusting the Lord.
